    The Caterpillar Poetry Prize 2019

The Caterpillar is the younger sibling of The Moth, a magazine of poems and stories and art for grown-ups. The Caterpillar is for kids between the ages of 7 and 11(ish), though grown-ups are bound to like it too. It appears four times a year (in March, June, September and December) and, like The Moth, is jam-packed full of new artworks and ’wordworks’.

The 2019 edition of The Caterpillar Poetry Prize is now open for entries.

Entries can be on any subject and must be in English, typed, with each entry on a new sheet. There is no line limit. Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant and must never have been published, self-published, published online or broadcast.

Worldwide copyright of each entry remains with the author.

Entry fee is 12 Euro per poem, and you can enter as many poems as you like.

    Eligibility

Open worldwide to anyone over 16, as long as the work is original and previously unpublished.

    Prize

A prize of 1,000 Euro is given to the best poem. Moreover, the winning poem will feature in the Summer 2019 issue of The Caterpillar.
